Nick is a registered architect with experience in cultural, civic, office, retail, educational and residential projects.
Nick studied at Cardiff (WSA), Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and Shanghai (Tongji) and worked with the AA’s interprofessional studio.
After graduating he worked at FLACQ and Clarke : Desai architects, working on London’s Kings Cross redevelopment, Wilkinson art gallery, numerous high end domestic residential projects and production design for Tiger Aspect productions (The Home Show, Restoration Man).
He joined Foster+Partners in 2009, and over a 6 year tenure participated in a wide range of architecture and design work from modular kit housing, bridges and a multi-modal transport interchange to cultural, scientific, economic and educational institutions, varying in scale and scope from single unit dwelling to city masterplan.
Whilst at Foster+Partners he had experience running projects in both the UK and abroad, specifically in the UAE and China, where he worked in collaboration with Thomas Heatherwick’s studio on the concept design for a new mixed use and cultural destination in the heart of Shanghai.
He joined MATT in 2015 as project architect on a 30000 sqm mixed use development in Central London, furthering his interest in the materiality and scale of the built environment, it’s relation to nature and the thresholds crossed between different types of spaces.
