Clockwork Building London W6

The Clockwork Building is a complete refurbishment of an existing 40,000 sq ft office building in Ravenscourt Park, London. The prominent brick clad building, visible adjacent to the A4 corridor into London was designed by Richard Seifert in the 1970s. The site was once home to the International Time Recording Company, a precursor to IBM, hence the project’s new name - ‘The Clockwork Building.’

Working in conjunction with Stone Real Estate and Thirdway Interiors, the proposal transforms the building by enhancing the entrance space for the upgraded open plan offices alongside a much needed refurbishment of the façade, windows and landscape.

The redesigned street facing landscape and glazed extension lead into a generous and contemporary reception area with exposed concrete soffits, upgraded lifts and high quality fittings. A mineral paint treatment applied to the external brickwork and slim metal frame windows further transform the dated façade.

Internally, the office floor plates take advantage of the generous floor to ceiling heights by exposing the concrete soffit throughout, enhanced by contemporary lighting solutions, flooring and services. A large refurbished terrace at the fifth floor provides panoramic views across the river and back towards the city.
